K'NEX inspires future engineers at the Future City Finals in Washington DC
Teams from 38 middle schools nationwide, winners of regional competitions in January, participated in the Future City National Finals last month. The goal of the competition is to provide a fun and exciting educational engineering programs for middle school students that combine a stimulating engineering challenge with a "hands-on" application to present their vision of a city of the future.
When the finalists were not designing their future cities, they were working as teams in the activity rooms, applying their science, technology, engineering and math skills to build models using K'NEX.
