730 K'NEX Rods and Connectors and two battery (AA) motors to build, investigate and experiment with motorized simple machine models. Builds multiple models simultaneously. Models demonstrate: levers, pulleys, wheels and axles, inclined planes, wedges, screws, gears and motion. Color-coded printed instructions to build 22 models, plus a CD-ROM to build motorized versions. A 75-page inquiry based teacher's guide that is aligned to NSES and ITEA standards. Background information, assessment strategies, lesson plans and design briefs included. Supports a group of 6-8 students working collaboratively.
