When did you start building with K'NEX?
When I was almost 5.
How did you come up with the idea for your winning model?
I love baseball and play with my friends so one day I started building a ballpark. In fact, it became my summer project while I watched baseball on tv.
What has been your most challenging K'NEX creation?
Definitely this baseball field. It took 3 months to make and I kept taking it apart to make it just how I wanted it. It took about 6,000 pieces.
Do you have a favorite past K'NEXpert? If so, who?
I like a lot of the builds, especially Ian’s Chinese Imperial Dragon in 2010.
How many siblings do you have? What are their age(s) and gender(s)?
I have one sister, Rachel, who is 11.
Do they build with K'NEX too? Do you build models together?
Sometimes we build together, but normally I’m by myself.
What are your favorite hobbies (besides building with K'NEX)?
I love to play video games, especially Minecraft, baseball and chess.
What is your favorite subject in school?
I like math, reading, and geography.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to make instructions at K’NEX.
What is the coolest part about being a 2013 K'NEXpert?
You get to go to the factory.
What advice do you have for other kids who want to be K’NEXperts?
Be patient, don’t give up, and believe in yourself.
