When did you start building with K'NEX?
Around the age of 6 years old
How did you come up with the idea for your winning model?
After going to a yard sale and seeing other K’NEX models for sale there, it just popped into my head of something I could make.
What has been your most challenging K'NEX creation?
Last year, I built a creation called the Dog Sitter 5000. It took tennis balls up a chain, then dropped them down to motors that shot the balls out for my dogs to chase. It took a while to get everything working with enough power to give the dogs a good ball to chase. It also took a while to train the dogs to bring the balls back to the chain so they could play again.
Do you have a favorite past K'NEXpert? If so, who?
How many siblings do you have? What are their age(s) and gender(s)?
3 - My sisters are Moriah who is 11 and Shauna who is 10. My brother Elijah is 8.
Do they build with K'NEX too? Do you build models together?
YES and we enjoy making games and things together with K’NEX.
What are your favorite hobbies (besides building with K'NEX)?
Woodworking and robotics.
What is your favorite subject in school?
Math and science.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I am not sure yet but probably something to do with building or designing houses.
What is the coolest part about being a 2013 K'NEXpert?
My favorite thing is being able to tour the K’NEX factory. We live real close and I have wanted to do that ever since I started building with K’NEX.
What advice do you have for other kids who want to be K’NEXperts?
Keep building and building. I used the skills God gave me and kept practicing. My creations have really improved and have gotten more creative as I kept trying new things.
